Climb Above the Rest

We live in one of the most beautiful areas in the world…

It just takes a glance in Colorado Springs to behold a 14,000′ giant, but how many are willing to put themselves to the test to conquer that giant?

We will hike all 13 Miles and 7,510 feet of elevation gain that Pikes Peak has to offer. This hike will be a test of will, but we will embrace that struggle with the support of some truly amazing teammates in ATR.

Pikes-Peak

To prepare for this challenge we have 5 hikes planned, increasing in difficulty with each hike. Mt. Herman, Seven Bridges, St. Mary Falls, two loops of Red Rock Canyon and finally Mt. Rosa.

Make it through one hike, and you earn the right to join in the next. Make it through all five and Coach Dustin and Coach Randy will determine if you are ready to join your coaches and teammates as we conquer the giant. Note that not everybody will be ready for all six hikes, especially our younger participants. We have taken kids as young as 8 to the peak, but this is a call that Coach Dustin and Coach Randy will make in the best interests of the kids. Pikes Peak is the goal, and if you aren’t ready this year, you have something to look forward to next summer!

Shirts

As an incentive to make it to the summit of Pikes Peak, an Above the Rest T-Shirt will be awarded to those who make it through all six hikes and accomplish this monumental task.
